Citrus & Stone is coming to Steam

Hi everyone, I'm Oort, the developer of Citrus & Stone. The Steam page is live, and I'm really excited to finally show you what I've been building.

What it is

Citrus & Stone is a cozy pixel-art base builder. A grapefruit named Tony and a cherry named Sherry wash up on an island with a wrecked boat and a broken campfire. By day you gather, build and hire help. At six every evening the horns sound, and mushrooms pour out of the Rotten Bushes to put that fire out.

What you'll be doing

  • Build by day, hold by night. Chop, mine and smelt your way from a makeshift axe to walls, gates and archer towers, and upgrade the campfire as your camp grows.
  • Run a camp. Hire survivors and give each one a job: Rock Thrower, Archer, Spearman, Builder or Trapper. They level up and earn perks, and on quiet afternoons they juggle, spar and nap.
  • Face the Bramble Queen. On day 10 she roots outside your walls. You can't hit her, so you untangle her vines and send the damage back into her.
  • Fix the boat. Complete the five forest shrines and a crew of crabs patches up your boat until she's ready to sail.
  • Island life. 19 kinds of fish, 25 recipes, wheat and ten kinds of fruit, beer for your workers, and a lemur and a red panda who will follow you home if you feed them right.

Better with two

Play solo, or bring a friend: split-screen couch co-op on one screen, or online co-op over Steam. Tony and Sherry each keep their own inventory, so one of you can fish while the other rebuilds the wall.

I drew the art, made the game and played the acoustic guitar the soundtrack is built around. I can't wait for you to play it.
